The Odyssey Paragraph

The Odyssey is the second oldest epic poem that is widely know, the Iliad being the first. The Odyssey is about a very clever thinker Odysseus, who is travelling back home to Ithaca after the fall of the city of Troy. This is a Greek version as the Roman one involves Ulysses, who is the Roman equivalent of Odysseus. This journey takes roughly 10 years to get back home after the ten year long battle of Troy. This story is a epic poem because Odysseus goes on a long journey with many conflicts. The story is also a long poem. Also Odysseus has more power than most people because he was a great thinker and used his brain to get out of problems. There are also elements that are supernatural like Cyclops and gods and things like that. Also in most epic poems the antagonist has supernatural powers but in the Odyssey there are no crystal clear baddies but I will use Poseiden as the antagonist. As you know Poseiden is a god so he is very supernatural. Overall the Odyssey has all of the elements needed to be a epic poem.

Pizza Description

A soft base that gives it a attractive shape. It holds the food together like glue.

A thin layer of red tart and sweet sauce.

On top of this a gooey texture which brings out the flavour of this food.

Next circular spicy disks cover your nose with a peppery aroma.

Finally a layer of crisp meat that covers this with a meaty flavour.

As this food reaches your mouth a firework display of taste approaches your senses.

As your teeth puncture the spicy disks it feels like lava is poured into your mouth as tears smart your eyes. However you soon become accustomed to this spiciness and you appreciated the complex flavours.

You constantly bite into the succulent textures until you take another mouth full.

Next your taste buds are met with the tart and sweet blood like sauce mixed with the gooey cool feeling.

And finally you penetrate into the base. But now it has a crispy feel instead of the soft texture and you are surprised. But not for long.

Paragraphs on the Allianz Add

Contrast Paragraph
Think local globally. Contrast is a tool used in advertising that grabs people's attention using the differences between two things. In this advertisement there are many different examples of contrast.  My first one is the difference between this man and his background. On the picture the man looks like a business man or a hiker with his suite and shoes and the way he wears his backpack. On the other hand the background looks like a rice crispy farm or hill with a house in the background. This doesn't seem like a very business like place to me. Another one is the way he looks a hiker but has a tablet with him. He looks relaxed and smiling and he looks casual but still smart enough to be a businessman. But most hikers don't have a tablet with them when they go walking or hiking and they certainly don't need one. The third and final one is the contrast between the colours. This is difficult to see on a black and white copy but on the colour one there is a difference between this man's jacket and the colour of the rice crispies(If they are even rice crispies). The jacket is a light brown and the rice crispies are a yellow. There is a difference. These are the contrasts in this advert. This is only one of the types of ways to make adverts. Another device people use is repetition.

Repetition Paragraph
Think local globally. Repetition is another tool used in advertising to make people remember things you say. In this advert there are multiple examples of repetition. The first is the word investment. In all the writing they say this word 3 times. This makes the readers remember that Allianz is connected to investment. The second is the word Allainz. This is also repeated three times. Again this reminds and makes people remember the name Allianz so later if they see a building with the name Allianz they will remember it. The last word is investors. In the advert when they mention Allianz it normally has the word investors next. This means when people see the name Allianz they will not only remember the company they will also remember that it is a investors. There are other words that are repeated but these are the key words. This is the key repeated words.

Emotion Advert. It shows a baby in a tire and it looks cute so people will want to get the tire which had a baby in it.

Rationality because it has facts on the advert.

Speed limit
This is a mix of rationality and emotion. The rationality is that when you drive and hit something at 40 miles per hour it is 70% chance you will die and if you go at 30 miles per hour there is a 80% you will live. These are true facts. The emotion is that the child could die and not live.
